I just watched Gun chan's episode of Oshareism 2 days ago. It's aired on March. It's funny how they asked Omi to talk about our gun boy and he said Gun chan lets him do everything when they're on trip. Gun chan doesn't take it easy and tries to defend himself by saying he only lets him once. But, the MC keeps pushing him to define how rude this young man is. Not contributing in team work is rude. Being serviced by fellow member is ugly behavior. We get it.

But, here's the other side of the story.

Gun chan says that he's doing it because Omi is older. He lets him handles everything.
I totally understand it. Have you ever be the youngest person in the family where everyone decide what you want to do? Trust me, slowly you get used to have your things taken care by other people.

It's also happening in work setting. I'm working in an almost 2000 employees organization, but seniority is still everything. Listen to your senior. Do as they did. No matter how bright you are, you are rude enough when distinguishing your talent among lame seniors.

Some old people stick behind rules they call manners, which sometimes only facade to force respect on them. So, in the name of manner, I often let my senior walk in front, starts the conversation, talk much and things like that. I believe that some older people have tendency to lead. When you state your confronting opinion, they take it as an attack. Hello? You're just so out of date.

It's clear to me that no matter how much they seek to be respected, some are just not reliable enough.
Still, in the cage of manner, because we're Eastern, I need to be able to chew every complain from these lame people. Words can be turned back against you, even if you never meant it. I think the ability to get rid of stupid people's opinion (remember, they're stupid. They don't deserve to be taken seriously) and forget past mistakes are what keep us moving on.
