The downslide of being nice

I just bought Into The Woods last vacation. It's a long story with lots of quotes they sung. Although it looks like various stories patched into one fanfiction, I managed to finish the movie. Huff. Tiresome.

One of my favorite part is when the giant's wife come down and looks for her husband's cause of death. She blames Jack for climbing the magic beans and stole so much golds from those giants. The giant became angry and chased Jack. But, Jack cut the beans, causing giant to fall and dead. Now that his wife is asking for revenge, Jack must be given to her.
The baker, the red ridinghood, and  cinderella are hesitate to turn him over. They don't want to feel guilty. On other hand, the witch sticks to her idea: give her Jack, or the whole kingdom will be destroyed by the female giant. She reprimands those people who want to look nice and unable to make choice.

I know there are people who try hard to be liked by everyone. Some sacrifice themselves in shake of others. Some press their inner thoughts and chew every bitter pills just to make other smile. But, guest what, no matter how much we try, we won't satisfy everyone.
