Online shopping. Pfft! It's infecting everybody. Delivery comes every day to the office, people stuck in front of their PC choosing brand, they yell "it's so cheap!" I've been taking advantage of this, as well. First, I bought a mini dining table which is fit for my microwave and has flexible shelve where I can put my rice cooker. I pull the shelve out if I want to cook rice and push back to restore it tidily.

Then, I purchase Ikea's stand table which is cheaper by online shop than if I purchase it through Ikea's official website. I only 2 hours away (different province, though) from Ikea shop, but the delivery cost 3 times of the good price itself. The online shop only takes service cost and use national delivery service which less than $1 to send that cute bamboo stand to my house safely. I also feel blessed to order some growing media from the city next door. It only takes 3 hours to buy and I'm ready for a gardening session. Yay!

This online shopping era clearly shapes our behavior. More and more people reluctant to go out, which means lack of exercise. On the other hand, it cuts transportation time used to go to the market so we can use our time for another meaningful activity. Unless, you love to go out and it's a relaxation to wander.

Waiting for delivery might cause a mental health problem. You're hoping your package comes soon, so you have a habit of tracking the delivery report every time. It also means you have to be ready to receive. In my case, because I live alone, I have to predict delivery time to ensure I'm home to take it. So, if it's a small package, I let it sent to my office instead of to MLN.
People who love online shopping also develop some kind of 'gambling' drive. Things look good on screen might not as nice, fit, or comfortable when you wear it. So, when you're having 'bad luck', you just accept it. It's similar to people's reaction when a cheap thing was broken, 'that's understandable, it's cheap'. We don't expect ultimate quality and we let it go easily when it doesn't satisfying. On the contrary, when we buy expensive goods, we expect them to be well qualified so any anomaly may lead to a lot of complaints.

I personally think online shopping is pretty useful sometimes. When it's too heavy or the road is too crowded, I'd choose online shopping. But, I won't let go chances of walking out since I'm too homebody. And my house is too cozy. If I can, I'd go out.
