Diner Report: The Pancake Parlor
Thanks to my shining nails, we decide to take dinner of fork and spoon. It’s such a waste of eating with such beautiful fingers, right? lol. *I know, being woman is not easy* We were going to get some spicy duck, but then I suggest Mbak Hanum & Pak Ukie to try the Pancake shop.
The restaurant is almost empty. There’s only one seat occupied and we take the one next to it. The table is set for 4 people with one sofa and two dining chairs. The chairs are so tall than the sofa. It helps me, though, but it doesn’t feel comfortable for Pak Ukie.
It serves bacon and beer and I start to feel uneasy. But, we’re here for the pancake and the menu seems normal. I take Jamaican Banana and Mbak Hanum gets Fresh Strawberries, while Pak Ukie tries salty cuisine, lasagna.
They only serve double pancake and we’re afraid we can’t finish it. It’s bad for having too many cakes, right? They should’ve offer single pancake option, as well. However, the serving is not bad. The taste is nothing extraordinary, though. I’ve been to better restaurant. On the other hand, the lasagna tastes good. It’s probably because I’ve finished such sweet meal. XD
I know it's not healthy for me having so much carbohydrate. Indonesian people are mostly suffering various health problems because of too much carbohydrate. We don’t have time to work out and we stuck in our seat all day. My last blood check showed a higher cholesterol level. That’s why I try to cook steamed meal at home. The problem is that I only cook 3 days a week. *sob*
