I don’t wish, I just make it happen
It’s 10 pm and I thought I was going to be alone in this train station. Soon, people come in solo or in pair, fitting themselves in the station’s seats. WTH are they doing this late? Is everyone so workaholic that they stranded in office till night? Or are they like me, the one who suddenly called to attend parliament meeting at night?
I was mad when I heard the meeting appointment. I could’ve leave, but I remember when my boss interviewed me on my recruitment days. She asked whether I could work irregular hour due to unpredictable meeting agenda. I said, yes. So, now is the time to proof it.
We all wish for perfect work place, where we can have fun without having difficulties. We want nice boss, friendly cooperative colleagues, sophisticated working tools and great benefits. I’m telling you, there’s no such place. You paid because you work and no work is painless.
So, here I am. Most people complain on how the irregular working hours damage them. Other hates how our majesties treat people like slave. There are also who curse our payroll system, especially nowadays when the upper management hesitate to give proper explanation for shifting rule. My colleagues are spoiled and tend to take side with seniors I don’t respect. If you put everything in one box, it’ll be Pandora’s.
However, I don’t wish on erasing those negative facts, because I can make this a special place. They don’t give pc, but I have my MacBook white and while other people strikes with viruses I can rely on my OS. They have time for Facebook, but I know how to use our amazing bandwidth to download various dramas and movies. They like to chitchat and I have new ear pods to listen to Exile’s songs. I don’t wish on better bosses, I made me a better and smarter advisor, because that’s the best I can do for this country. I don’t take orders out of my expertise. Some bosses are just uneducated and they need to be led to get better decision.
