Eid's after effect
So lemme tell you how this week runs
My first day at work started with lots of greetings. And after the 50th people, I started to sneeze. A lot. Couldn't stop it till the end of the day so I decided to went to bed early. I've been sleeping before 9 for the past 4 days, hoping my influenza to chill off.
Other people around me having similar problems. They look tired and sick. Funny how long vacation drained you to the bone. They who took chance to travel to their hometown experienced disastrous traffic jam. It's the annual problem and nothing a government can (or might) do about it.
Delivering big meeting with family also tiresome. While you are forced to stay at home, meeting people you don't usually see for long time (even your husband and kids whom you see in the morning or evening) is exhausted. For women it means never ending housework (because most maids are taking leave permission for the vacation as well). It might be different for the boys. The father get to sit in the house, probably sleeping. If they have boys, they might dragged the old men somewhere, but it's not as tiresome as the mother. Do you see father doing laundry on Eid's vacation? Not in my area.
I didn't come home for this Eid season, nor inviting my parents to come over. I really really need time to exhale. Even with the two cousins, it felt so cramped. Well, we had fun, but I got to be "the mother" for the house. I cooked for every meal time, a nice nutritious vegetable soup. But, when you're at home, you just want to do it right. So, I really managed to make it in perfect procedure. No venture no gain, people. The more work you put into something, it often turns into amazing. I'm pretty much proud of my cooking (I know I should've take more pictures, sorry).
After such a week of nutritious food, I let myself taking not-so-healthy food. Burgers and french fries for the weekend! How bad does it sound? But, I feel better now. The head banging is decreasing, also the sneezing and cough. I just need food vacation, after all.
