Good morning,
Yesterday was too amazing. I went to RatPlaz to get some DVD. It’s been years since I bought Japanese DVD, right? So, I was accompanied by my senior who’s not so skilled in downloading, but is a pro in dealing with DVD dealer. Haha.
Just when our taxi arrived at destined place, we witnessed vandalism act by a cop labelled provost. He was a big man, with a big punch. He stopped his motorcycle in front of a car and started to shout. He demanded the driver to get out while squeezing the car’s right’s side-view mirror. It turned into trash in instant. When the driver opened his window, he punched him angrily. Wow! I don’t know what happened, probably the driver did make mistake, but punching someone when he’s in car is really a coward thing, right? Even punching someone is a barbaric act.
What is wrong with people on the street lately? It’s just last week when a student from UGM posted she was treated rude by the guy on gas station (which actually because she was queuing in the wrong line). She was bath mouthing the city in her path and now lots of people in Yogyakarta hate her. She is indicted for insulting the people. She’s declared guilty today. It’s all because bad words she wrote.
People get angry much more easily these days. Has this world turned into some kind of torturing land where everything seems drive dissatisfaction? Yes, the city has become crowded more than before. It takes more time to get to the office, to queue on traffic light, to cross the street. Report about work stress has piled up, as well as the stress in educational institution. They ask for more than most people usually do and it could trigger some aggressive effect.
But, there are also more things that can quiet us down right? We have the tablet, earphones, books, malls, more attraction centre. More people reach higher education than before, but that doesn’t seem to affect people’s emotional control. I don’t know what other people do to calm down, but I think taking time to silent is the best way to mend your hot head. The shorter moment you spend for thinking makes shorter judgement. Most of those judgements are those you’ll regret later.
