I might just tired
Was it all started when I found Viki? Or is it because Our Times? I can't say for sure, but I've been watching 2 Chinese series for the past 2 weeks. Cdrama has a different style than dorama. It's more serious and focuses on cinematography. The good ones look like they're earnestly produced. Of course, there are also the bad ones, they are usually romance series. Love can be sour if you tell it in 20 episodes.
Love Me If You Dare
I know, the title doesn't sound convincing. I suspect it was some cheesy romance, but the main story relies on genius criminal psychologist named Bo Jinyan (or Simon Bo. whatever your tang prefer) who becomes Chinese police's adviser. Although he has IQ 180, his EQ is low. He doesn't associate well with other people. The only one who can stand his temper is his best friend, Zi Yu, a computer programmer. Zi Yu even helps Jinyan to find a translator. She's a fresh graduates name Jian Yao (Jenny). Jinyan takes a liking on her and asks her to become his assistant. Although Jinyan is rude and hardly understand other people's feeling, Xin Yao finds kindness in him. However, the criminals Jinyan after are psychopaths. Everyone around him might fall into preys.
In the fight for the crown, Crown Prince, and Prince Yu are willing to do anything, including getting advice from Divine Talent, Su Zhe/Mei Channgsu. However, Mr. Su has hidden agenda: trying to promote the unnoticed prince, Prince Jing. He believes the deserted prince is most suitable to rule the kingdom in the future.
This drama doesn't allow me to take rest. I watch it in the morning when I got to the office, the around lunch time, also when I got home. It's sick! Before I realize the 54 episodes are all done in 5 days.
Both shows are played by the rising actor named Wang Kai. I guess I'm just lucky to encounter this charming guy, considering I have zero knowledge about Chinese entertainment map. I must say those two series are amazing series. They're like a perfect answer to my boredom toward Japanese dorama season. And Wang Kai got two charming roles. perfect.
