Why am I working too hard on these?

I'm an editor, also a writer. As writer, I think I have lots of holes and I want my editor to fill them in for me. To fill in means covering my mistakes, not my abandoned.  I'm still believing that I need to write something really good before submitting it to my editor. I mean, really good. The one I can be confident about.

However, the definition of goodness might vary. When you think it's good, it probably not for other people. Our intelligences are not the same, and it's no use to match up with other people unless you can do it.  Still, I believe that when you can still came up with excuse, then you actually understand that your work is not good enough.

As editor, I'm happy to garnishing the script to make it more readable. It's my job and I take many things it take to make it good. I check the source, I read the quotation. I crosschecks with writers.  I finish their unfinished lines or reference.  And I want my editor to do the same.
But, I haven't find anyone who can match my reckless writing. Sometimes I'm feeling so mad. Why am I the only one working too hard on their papers? Why can'r they do the same? Why? 
Still, I think it's important to be true to your job. To be able to say with proud that I'm doing good job.
