We were always taught to go to college and get good title, so it'd be easy to get a job. Surprisingly, it's not happening! By the increasing number of people with diploma and bachelor degree, the competition doesn't come easy. Central Bureau of Statistics notes that there is 7.560.822 open unemployed by August 2015. 653.586 of them are university graduated. That's 8,6% of whole!

The millennial is already facing the shock. When I was graduated, they call my colleagues who come from the same university as fleas, because we don't seem to able to stay in one company for a long time. We're always looking for better and better job. Even if it's not better, we just like the thrill of chasing another post.... in other company. Or simply because we're not determined enough to face the difficulties of our duty. Yeah, we gave the alma mater a bad name. But, we could, because we're good (and it's part of the university's great qualifications). We're entitled the quality of lazy, narcissists, as well as multi-taskers, tech-savvy and confident.

Even though millennials keep changing jobs, it doesn't mean we always find what we like. We're picky. That explains the number of open unemployment. As the result, many adults are still living with parents, and unemployed. Or stuck in the lame job. I don't know which one is worse.

Still, it's better to have money of your own, right?

To do that, you have to start somewhere. Probably not the step you imagined. But, as long as you can do it, then why not? Most millennials want desk-office job. The wearing formal suit and having fixed salary? Yeah, that's the charm. For some part of the community, college graduated working in the informal industry is shameful.

In reality, what we want might not what we got.  When I was little, I wanted to be a doctor. Other kids dreamt of becoming an astronaut, policeman, or teacher. However, reality slaps us right in the face, swaying the dream far far away.

A recent study conducted by Trade Schools, Colleges, and Universities, which surveyed 2,000 adults comes to surprising finding. It says that 78.06% of adults don't end up following through on the career path of their six-year-old imaginations.
But, that's not a big deal. At least, we find something to make the ends meet. We must make peace with our ideal and strive in the real world. That's the key.

So, for people who haven't found the job yet. You might want to have self-check. Are you asking too much? Do you have what the industry want? Build your competency by doing various things. That would help in the future job. Make use the internet. Take each one step, if you can't jump ahead. Don't lose hope.
