3 kinds of Eid Greeting
Happy Eid everyone!
Hope we learn something from this year's fasting. It's really about the process. It's not about the number of days you spent in the masjid or the number of Qur'an pages you read, it's about improving yourself. Becoming a humbler person. Well, at least that's my contemplation.
from last year, actually. |
Despite not being a people person, I do involve in some circles. Well, the word involve is a bit exaggerating, ha? Since I'm just reading (sometimes) other people's post and once in a while replying with a very short sentence. You see, I think that the more I expose myself (through writing), the more they will interfere with my peaceful life. haha. Unless I like you. Cancer can't help but give too much to those they appreciate.
Anyway, in term of exchanging speech, it's really tiring in this Big Day. People keep posting and sending greeting and I just said, "same". When you send greeting to a lot of people, it becomes just manner, instead of sincerity. I mean, most of them had nothing to do with your daily life anyway. Although less contact doesn't mean fewer guilt feelings. So, you just compose a neutral greeting and send it to 200 chatting groups. perfect. But, is it ideal? Therefore, let me sum 3 types of greeting you should create to maintain a relationship.
First, Formal Greeting
The one wrote by official account to commemorate the day.
Ah, I should write one for my office twitter *lazy*
Second, Normal Greeting
The kind of greeting you wrote for colleagues because you're gonna work with them after the joint holiday, but not very much appreciating their behavior (sometimes). hahaha. Most likely just a lip service.
Third, Intimate Greeting
This type I send to people who understand my jokes, who won't get mad for my behavior. Hahaha. In short, family and bffs.
And last, the reply is really important. I make a simple "you're welcome" photo to those greeting me. But, it won't work in a group full of people you don't close with, right? If they write full greetings (also in Arabic), you can only reply with the same amount. Or somebody will explode.
